Description

This gas lamp post, located approximately 50 metres south of the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Clifton Park, Bristol, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a moulded base with a foliate end leading to a reeded shaft. The lamp post has ornate switch bars and a square lantern. It has been converted to electricity.
