Description
A house, dating from around 1770, now used as two offices, was altered in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick with limestone dressings, featuring brick stacks and a hidden roof. It follows a double-depth plan and is in a late Georgian style. The building is three stories high, with an attic and basement, and has a five-window facade. Originally, it was a symmetrical house with pilaster strips rising to a cornice and parapet. A central doorway features consoles supporting a pediment, an architrave with a split key design, and a six-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. The windows are six-over-six sashes, with horns on the left-hand side. A 19th-century shop front was added to the left-hand side, incorporating pilaster strips to the right-hand doorway and a four-panel door, as well as to a tripartite plate-glass window. The shop front also includes a cornice and a brick stall riser. The interior was largely remodelled in the mid-20th century.
