Description
The Close House is a house dating from 1624, located in Church Close, Henbury, Bristol. It features roughcast walls with limestone dressings, brick gable stacks set diagonally, and a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical front that includes a three-window range. The windows have drip label moulds above them, and there is a framed 17th-century door. The ground-floor windows are four-light casements, while the first-floor windows are three-light casements, both with horizontal glazing bars. Plain casements are situated below the eaves. On the right side of the house, there is a pointed-arched doorway. The interior has not been inspected. The building was formerly used as the village school.
