Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of three houses located on Sydenham Road in Cotham, Bristol. The houses are built of limestone ashlar, with lateral and party wall stacks and concrete-tiled hipped roofs. They follow a double-depth plan and are in an Italianate style.

The terrace is two storeys high with a basement, and features a six-window front. The end houses project forward, each with a side porch. A doorway is located to the left of the central section of the terrace, which has a banded ground floor and a plat band. Pilasters with capitals rise above the ground floor, and deep eaves are supported by paired brackets. The doorways are topped with consoles to the canopies, and feature overlights and six-panel doors.

The windows are plain, with consoles to cornices on the first floor. The end houses have 6/6-pane sashes with margin bars, while the central section has 2/2-pane sashes with stained-glass overlights to the ground floor. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
