Description

The Tomb of Breillat in Arnos Vale Cemetery is a Grade II listed structure, specifically an obelisk dedicated to Mary Breillat, who died in 1839. This elegant Neoclassical obelisk is made of Bath stone and features an inscription panel made of slate. The pedestal is heavily moulded and includes an inset slate panel, with lettering that still retains some of its original gilding. It is noted to be the earliest monument in the cemetery and is prominently located on the southern slopes of Arnos Vale.
