Description

A pair of attached houses, dating from around 1860, are located on Rockleaze in Sneyd Park, Bristol. The houses are constructed from snecked Pennant rubble with limestone dressings and brick details, featuring stone gable and ridge stacks and a tile roof. They are built on a double-depth plan and in a Classical style. The houses are three stories high and have a ten-window facade. Prominent full-height semicircular bows feature, with a band of stone bricks and headers below a pierced parapet. A band of terracotta panels is positioned below the second-floor windows. The side elevations include entrances, with the entrance to No. 5 distinguished by a rock-faced column and a tiled roof. The windows are flat-headed, arched centrally, and contain plate-glass sashes, with three windows in the bows and one on either side, plus two windows between. Doorways are located in the end blocks. The facade is finished with a pierced parapet running the full width. The interior remains uninspected.
