Description

The Tomb of Doddrell is a Grade II listed obelisk located in Arnos Vale Cemetery, dedicated to Thomas Daniel Doddrell, who died in 1840. Made of buff coloured sandstone, the obelisk stands approximately 3 metres high and is set on a pedestal featuring a moulded cornice, which rests on a stepped base. This large obelisk is one of the earliest monuments in the cemetery and serves as an important landmark, positioned at the top of the steps leading up the southern slope of the cemetery.
