Description
This building is a warehouse located at the back of Number 3 Queen Square in Bristol, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and render, with a roof that is not visible. The warehouse has a single-depth plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a two-window range. The gabled front has an ashlar ground floor that reaches up to a plat band. On the right side, there is a segmental carriage arch with heavy timber doors, while to the left, there are two windows above a segmental-arched basement arch. The first floor includes two semicircular-arched recesses with imposts, one of which contains a blocked window on the right and a hoist door on the left, fitted with a steel lintel. A small hoist with a pulley is located to the left. Inside, the ground floor is open, featuring Pennant flags and a timber post supporting the cross beams. This warehouse is part of a group of small warehouses alongside the backs of Nos 14 and 15 King Street, and it is included for its historical and group value.
