Description

The walls, gates, and railings at the front of the Unitarian Chapel were built in 1791 by William Blackburn. They are made of limestone ashlar and wrought iron. The structure features square, capped piers that support two carriage gates and outer pedestrian gates, along with a central wall. The railings have arrow tops, and the gates have a ribbed finish. These elements are noted for their historical significance and group value as part of Blackburn's overall design for the Unitarian Chapel.
