Description

A pair of attached houses, now shops, dating from the late 17th and early 18th century. The houses are built with a timber-frame, rendered over, and have a central brick chimney and a pantile roof. They are arranged with a double-depth plan, each house being two storeys high with an attic, and featuring a single-window facade to the front. The original gables retain 19th-century shop fronts and 20th-century glazing. Number 93 has a doorway and fascia supported by moulded consoles, two plate-glass windows on the first floor, and a boarded window in the attic. Number 95 features a central doorway set back between plate-glass windows, and a wide 20th-century metal casement window on the first floor. While the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to contain some surviving timber framing and stairs.
