Description
The Shack is a late 17th century brick farmhouse featuring red stretchers and grey headers, which has been whitewashed again after a period of being left unpainted. The main two-storey wing is three windows wide, with casement windows consisting of four sections each, equipped with wooden mullions and transoms, and small square leaded panes. The lower north wing has one window and a dormer above it, which has only mullions, while the north gable includes one window above two. A stringcourse runs along the building. The farmhouse has a thatched roof, and the doorway is framed with a simple moulding and a stucco lintel. At the back, the roof slopes down very low, featuring two mullioned windows and a plain doorway.
