Description
Muccleshell Farmhouse is a late medieval farmhouse that was refronted in brick during the 18th century. The building has two storeys and is three windows wide, featuring red stretchers and grey headers, which have been whitewashed again after a period when they were left unpainted on the gable ends. The rear of the farmhouse is constructed in black and white half-timbering, with whitewashed brick between the beams. The framing is rectangular, with a narrower gauge on the first floor compared to the ground floor. The farmhouse originally had casement windows throughout, but these have recently been replaced with plate glass, with the original windows surviving only in the lean-to on the east side, which has a variegated tiled roof.
