Description
Balston Terrace is a pair of houses located on West Street in Poole, dating from the late 18th century and altered in the mid 19th century. The building features Flemish bond brickwork with rubbed brick flat arches, stucco dressings, brick gable stacks, and a tiled roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a five-window range. The symmetrical front includes a plinth and mid 19th-century paired doorways with cement-rendered flat surrounds and six-panel doors. The windows are six-over-six pane sashes in exposed boxes, topped by gauged brick flat arches with rusticated keys, and there is a blind window above the entrance. The interior has not been inspected. Originally, the building featured a pedimented doorway.
