Description
The Elms is a detached house with an early 18th century core, featuring alterations and additions from the early and late 19th century, including a south range. The exterior is finished with colourwashed render and topped with a double Roman tile roof. The building has two storeys, with the 18th century facade displaying three windows, while a gabled end on one side has one window. There is also a lower, one-storey wing that is part of the 19th century addition. The windows in the 18th century section are 16-pane sash windows, except for a cellar window on the right, which has a two-light ovolo mullion. The 19th century wing features small pane casements. The entrance is marked by a central door with six raised and fielded panels, set in a moulded wooden doorcase that includes a semi-circular patterned fanlight. The house has two brick chimney stacks.
