Description

This is a chest tomb located three yards south of the Harris Monument in the churchyard to the north of St. James' Church. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and is designed in a baroque style. The tomb is made of limestone ashlar and features square side panels that are now illegible but are decorated with skulls and swags. There are memento mori on the central pilaster strips, enriched oval borders at the ends, and a moulded plinth and cornice.
