Description
This is an 18th-century chest tomb located about 2 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. James in the churchyard. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and a plain plinth. The tomb has carved corner pilasters and a central raised panel on the north and south sides, surrounded by an egg and dart motif. Each side has a plain raised panel, with similar panels on the east and west sides also featuring an egg and dart surround. The cornice adds to its architectural detail, although the inscriptions have worn away over time.
