Description

The Old Rectory is a house with origins in the 17th century, marked by a sundial on the stack that dates it to 1697. The building underwent alterations in the mid-18th century and again in the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with a slate roof and features ashlar stacks. The main part of the house has two storeys and attics with gabled dormers, consisting of five bays. It has large pane sash windows set in architraves, with flat hoods over two of the ground floor windows. The central door is modern and is located under a flat stone hood supported by brackets. To the left, there is a gabled 19th-century cross wing, and to the right, a projecting lean-to.
