Description

West Lodge is a late 18th-century house, altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of ashlar, with a slate roof hidden behind a parapet and cornice. The building is three storeys high and three bays wide. The outer two bays feature mid-19th century two-storey bay windows with pierced parapets and large-pane glazing bar sash windows. The remaining windows are glazing bar sashes. A plat band runs below each floor. The central entrance has a six-panel door within a doorcase featuring Tuscan columns and a pediment, topped with a lion. A further two-storey bay window projects from the west side elevation.
