Description

Lower Shockerwick Farmhouse is a farmhouse, probably dating back to the mid-17th century, though it was remodelled in the late 18th century as evidenced by the inscription "WW 1793" above the door. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar quoins, and has a Cotswold stone slate mansard roof with coped raised verges, concealed behind a parapet with a cornice. The building features ashlar stacks. It is two storeys and attics high, with a basement, and has two windows and a central door. The windows are two- and three-light casements with ovolo moulded stone mullions, set under drip moulds. The entrance features a six-panel door, sheltered by a flat stone hood on brackets.
