Description
The Lodge is a Gothick-style lodge that was originally part of Combe Hay Manor, dating from the late 18th century. It was altered and extended in 1979. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features a hipped thatched roof that extends over the eaves to create a verandah on the south side, supported by rustic posts and bracing. The Lodge has an L-shaped plan, with the eastern wing being from the 20th century. It is a single-storey building with attics accessed through dormers. Each elevation has single casement windows set in pointed surrounds, and there are three windows in the canted end of the south wing. The east wing has a glazed door, also with a pointed surround.
