Description

The K6 telephone box outside No. 1 Kensington Place is a telephone kiosk dating from around 1935, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. It is made of cast iron and is a standard K6 or 'Jubilee kiosk', produced by various manufacturers. The box features three glazed sides with eight horizontal panels and margin glazing, with one side functioning as the door. The fourth side is solid to accommodate telephone equipment. At the top, there is a shallow dome with a crown and the word 'TELEPHONE' displayed in opal lettering.
