Description
No. 90 Walcot Street is a house, now functioning as a restaurant, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a double-pitched slate mansard roof with dormers and moulded stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double depth plan and stands three storeys tall with an attic and basement, displaying a three-window front. The coped parapet returns and rises over the gable ends, while there is a cornice, a lintel frieze, and a ground floor platband that is slightly returned. The windows are six-over-six pane sash types without horns, with those on the first floor featuring balconettes. The centre of the ground floor has a six-over-six pane sash window flanked by panelled doors that include three-pane overlights. The right return of the building has four windows in the centre, including one in the attic, a small circular window to the left of the attic, and two windows to the right. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, this house was known as the Bladud's Head public house in 1906.
