Description
The tomb of Dr William Oliver is located in the Church of All Saints Churchyard and dates from around 1764, with repairs made in the late 19th century. It features a heavy, low slab made of Bath stone, which has inset lead letters that have been renewed. The slab is set within a low stone kerb that once had railings, likely removed during World War II. This simple memorial honors Dr Oliver, who lived from 1695 to 1764, and was a prominent figure in High Georgian Bath society, known for his advocacy of bathing and his role as a doctor at the Mineral Water Hospital. The tomb is listed for its historical significance and is marked as No. 449 on the churchyard plan.
