Description
Bathford Bakery is a pair of houses, believed to have been a bakery established in 1777, now functioning as a single residence. The building dates from the mid-18th century, with a mid-19th century wing added to the right. It is constructed of rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof, with slate on the wing and coped raised verges. The structure has two storeys and consists of four bays, plus two additional bays in the wing. The windows are two-light with moulded mullions and surrounds, set under a cornice on the ground floor where the windows are sashes with simple Gothic glazing. The first floor has casements, while the wing features 4-pane sashes. There are two modern doors located under a flat stone hood supported by brackets, and a sundial is positioned above the left door.
