Description

Tucking Mill House is a detached house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features ashlar stonework and a hipped slate roof. The house has two storeys and a cellar on the left side, with two bays that include 16- and 12-pane glazing bar sash windows. There is a six-panel door located at the rear corner of the building. It is noted that William Smith, known as the Father of British Geology, lived here while working on the construction of the Somersetshire Coal Canal.
