Description

East Court is a moderate-sized house built in the mid-18th century, situated in a small park. The building measures approximately 50 feet by 40 feet and has three storeys plus a basement. The long sides feature five bays, while the short sides have four bays. Constructed of brick, it includes stone sills, strings, and cornices, topped with a tile roof. This house is an excellent example of careful design and construction. Although it has a modern porch, garden door, and new wings that are not unsympathetic to the original structure, it retains good interior details such as panelling, mantlepieces, and cornices. At the time of the survey, East Court was occupied as offices.
