Description

The stables to the northeast of Wakehurst Place date from the 18th century and are two storeys high with five windows. The building is constructed of ashlar and features a stringcourse, cornice, and parapet. It has long and short quoins, with the central window bay projecting and adorned with similar quoins and a pediment above in the parapet. The roof is covered with Horsham slabs, and there is an octagonal bell-turret with a cupola. Additionally, the stables have a large round-headed doorway.
