Description
The North West Lodge of Balcombe Place, along with the adjoining gate-piers, was built in 1858 and designed by architect Henry Clutton. This T-shaped stone building is a single storey with one window on each front. It features a tiled roof and gables on each wing adorned with scalloped bargeboards. The date and initials "H. A. J." are also present. The windows are casement style with stone mullions. To the southeast of the lodge, there are stone gate-piers topped with obelisks.
