Description

Worth Hall is a large, circa 1840, L-shaped house situated on Turners Hill Road. The building is two storeys in height, with four windows on the main facade. It is stuccoed, featuring a cornice and castellated parapet. The windows are casement types, each with a dripstone above. The ground floor is characterised by two bays, each surmounted by a castellated parapet. A three-storey north-east wing is present, incorporating a bartizan in the north-east corner. The angle of the ā€œLā€ shape contains a ground floor section with a doorway flanked by side lights and a pointed fanlight constructed in three sections. Inside, a good central staircase and Gothic doors are noteworthy features.
