Description

The Old Priory is an L-shaped house located on Church Street in Steyning. It features a mix of timber-framed construction that dates from the 17th century or earlier, but it was completely refaced in the 18th and 19th centuries. The east wing has a front that dates to the 18th century and consists of two storeys and an attic, with three windows and one hipped dormer. The exterior is stuccoed and topped with a tiled roof. There is a central projection made of red brick with a slate roof, which includes a Doric porch that extends beyond it. The south wing, built in the early 19th century, also has two storeys and three windows, is stuccoed, and has a slate roof with intact glazing bars.
