Description
Chowles Barn is a largely modern house that began as a barn, originally located on Venters Lane but now situated on East Street in Rusper. The building dates to the 17th century and is timber-framed with plaster infilling. It has a tiled roof and casement windows. The original barn comprised two storeys and four windows. A modern addition is visible at the east end. A tower, clad in weatherboarding, rises above the roof of the west end.
