Description

Peppers is a large house of square plan, initially dating back to 1611 with a later addition to the west end of the south front in 1914. It is a timber-framed building, with plaster infilling between the framing and a Horsham slate roof. The house has two storeys. The main east-facing front has four windows with gables at each end. A four-light oriel window is supported by brackets on the first floor, situated below the north gable. The north front has four windows and a two-storeyed porch, dated 1611, where the first floor projects on brackets; one bracket bears the date. Situated to the west of the porch is a window with four tiers of four lights. The ground floor of the south front has been rebuilt in red brick, and a modern addition in brick and tile-hanging is present at the west end of the south front.
