Description
Rus House is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of Henfield High Street. It stands two storeys high with a semi-basement that features a rusticated area. The façade has four windows, is stuccoed, and has overhanging eaves. The roof is slate, and the glazing bars are intact. The ground floor windows are adorned with Venetian shutters, iron balconettes, and tent-shaped canopies. A round-headed doorway with fluted quarter columns, a semi-circular fanlight, and a six-panel door is a prominent feature. A solid porch with a rudimentary pediment has been added over the doorway. Additionally, there is a garage door at the north end of the building.
