Description
Thistleworth Farmhouse is a timber-framed building, likely dating to the 17th century or earlier. It has an L-shaped layout and was later refronted with red brick, incorporating grey headers and partly tile-hung on the first floor. The original timber framing remains visible at the rear, with plaster and brick infilling. The house has a tiled roof with a pentice to the west, and casement windows. A crow-stepped brick chimney breast, set on a stone base, is located at the east end. The group value of this building lies in its representation of the area’s rural heritage.
