Lavender Cottage is a 17th century or earlier building, likely originally of greater size, which has been refaced with grey headers and red brick dressings. It features quoins and a string course, and has a thatched roof, with a pentice at the west end and extending over the west part of the south front. The windows are casement windows, with those on the first floor incorporating diamond-shaped panes. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows.
