Description
Lion House is a building located on the north-west side of St Pancras, with the date 1783 inscribed on it. However, its architectural style suggests it was likely built at the end of the 17th century. The house is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall, featuring three windows, along with a two-storey extension that has one additional window on the west side. It has a small cornice with modillions situated below the eaves. The windows are casement style, with small square divisions, although the ground floor window in the extension has had these divisions removed. The ground and first floor windows include a third panel of glass above the casements. The roof is hipped and tiled. The entrance features a doorway with Doric columns and a semi-circular fanlight that has tracery resembling a real fanlight, topped with a rectangular pediment. The door is a six-panel moulded design.
