Description

Lanelands is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, originally timber-framed but largely refaced in the 18th century. It consists of two parallel ranges. The front or east range features brick infilling on the ground floor and is tile-hung above, while the back or west range is entirely tile-hung with a slight belcast above the ground floor of both ranges. The house has a tiled roof and casement windows. On the north side, there is a large brick chimney breast with a crow-stepped gable that contains a double bacon-loft, along with two smaller brick chimney breasts on the south wall.
