Description
The garden wall in Church Passage, which is the southern continuation to the rear of Vernon House and faces the allotment gardens, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a chamfered projecting plinth. The wall is divided into 17 bays, with each bay separated by brick pilasters. It has a brick capping and stands approximately 7 feet high. At the southwest end, near the footbridge, the wall turns northwards and does not have pilasters in this section.
