Description
The Malt House is a house dating from the mid-16th century. It has a timber frame, with brick cladding on the lower part and tile hanging above on the former entrance front. The remaining fronts have brick infill, and the roof is plain tiled with a half-hipped design to the right. The building features a lobby entry plan, with the former entrance front facing the River Wey. It is two storeys high and has a stack located to the left of centre. There is one casement window on the first floor and three windows below. The former door, located to the left of centre, is now blocked, while a new door has been added to the right end, sheltered by a flat hood on braces. On the left-hand return front, there is some stone infilling and two windows on each floor. Additionally, there is a new entrance front at the rear.
