Description

This is an early 19th-century house, originally used with a shop. It's built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof. The house is three storeys high, with a cellar, and has two main bays, plus a two-storey rear outshot. The right-hand bay has a door consisting of five panels, with the top two panels glazed, set within a doorcase featuring fluted pilasters, an entablature, and a bracketed hood. To the right of the door is a basket-arched former shop window, framed by an architrave. The left-hand bay has a six-pane sash window set within its reveal, with a segmental brick arch above. The first and second floors each have two two-light leaded casement windows, with the first-floor windows featuring segmental brick arches. There are stepped dentilled eaves. The roof is hipped and includes a stack on the left side. The rear outshot is constructed of brick, hung Welsh slate, and weatherboard, with a Welsh slate roof.
