Description
Pollingfold House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is timber framed and stands on a plinth made of sandstone and ironstone, with some brick infill in the exposed frame on the front right half and red and blue brick cladding on the left. The house features rendered infill under the eaves and has a plain tiled roof.
The building has two storeys above a basement plinth, with curved bracing visible on the right side. There is a central chimney topped with a corbelled design. The first floor has three diamond-pane casements, while the ground floor has two casements, one of which is located under a cambered head on the left. Central casement doors are situated under a wooden lintel and are accessed by three brick steps. Additionally, there are two 4-light diamond-pane windows in the basement. The return fronts of the house are tile hung above the ground floor.
