Description

This barn, located 30 yards south west of Place Farm House, dates from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with re-used Tudor brickwork cladding on the eastern side, while the other sides are made of coursed stone with brick dressings. The upper part of the barn is clad in weatherboarding, and the ends are covered with corrugated metal. The roof is half hipped and covered with plain tiles. The barn is rectangular with seven framed bays and has full height wagon doors in the center.

Inside, the barn has queen post trusses supporting a clasped purlin roof.
