Description
Nos 96-100 on High Street is a row of cottages that includes shops and offices, dating from the early 18th century with some alterations from the 19th century. The building has a rendered exterior with a brick plinth, and the upper part is made of colour-washed brick, featuring a rusticated rendered section on the first floor to the left. The roof is plain tiled, with a rear stack on the left, a ridge stack near the center, and an oversailing hip roof on the right.
The structure is two storeys high and has a plat band above the ground floor on the right and center. There are four casement windows on the center and right sides, and four glazing bar sash windows on the center and left sides. The first floor on the right has two blocked windows. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century end cambered head and bow window on the right, along with two horizontal glazing bar sash windows to the right of center, and two 19th-century projecting shop fronts on the left. The entrances include a half-glazed door on the right end, a planked door to the right of center, and two glazed doors on the left of center and at the left end.
