Description

These are three cottages dated to the early 19th century, which were restored in 1983. They are constructed of colourwashed render on a rendered plinth, with hipped slate roofing to the left, and concrete tile roofs to the centre and right. The rear of the left-hand cottage has a three-stack chimney, the left side of the centre has a single rendered chimney, and the right-hand cottage has a triple stack under an oversailing top to the ridge. The cottages feature two twelve-pane sash windows to each first floor, across three, three, and two bays respectively. The centre window on the first floor of the left-hand and centre cottages is blocked. A six-panel door, set within an architrave surround with a flat hood on brackets, is located on the ground floor left (No. 83). A similar door, but four-panelled, is centrally located (No. 85). Further doors are found on the return front to Vicarage Road (Nos. 87, 89). The buildings are included on the heritage list for their group value.
