Description

The Old Ferry House is a mid-19th century house located in Sunbury-on-Thames, originally within the former Urban District of Shepperton, now situated on Church Square. The house is constructed of dun-coloured brick with a renewed roof covered in machine tiles. It is a two-storey building with end ridge stacks decorated with a plinth and hexagonal-panelled yellow terracotta pots. The first floor features two three-light windows within painted stone surrounds, with scalloped and pierced bargeboards extending across the gables and eaves. Below, there are two three-light windows; the one to the left is a square bay window with a patterned-tile hipped roof. A door is now located in a return front extension, which is set back from the main body of the house.
