Description
Curlhawes is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, featuring colour washed brickwork over timber framing. It has an old tile roof and stacks, with two gables and a left-hand wing that projects. The building is two storeys high, and all windows are now leaded lights in casements. The gable is tile hung, and there is a projecting 20th-century tile hung porch that is in character with the house. To the right, there is a similar set back with a leaded light casement and a tile hung gable. A band course runs at first floor level on the left wing and the return elevation. Inside, there is much exposed timber framing and a deep brick fireplace with a timber lintel.
