Description

Granite pillar, the sides tapering slightly towards the top. The front bears the inscription: ERECTED / IN HONOUR / OF THE MEN / OF THIS VILLAGE / WHO SERVED THEIR / KING AND COUNTY / IN THE / GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1919 / + KILLED + WOUNDED; below this are some of the names of the Fallen. The right and left faces both bear further names. The back face reads: 1939 - 1945 / IN MEMORY OF / (names) / OF THIS PARISH / WHO DIED / IN THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY. The whole rests on a square granite base, set into a larger area of paving.
