Description

The Lawson headstone, located approximately 17 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Nicholas, is a small headstone from the mid-18th century. It commemorates Thomas Lawson, who died in 1737. The headstone is made of limestone and features a shaped top. The face is carved with an hourglass at the centre of a pair of raised wings, and it has an elegantly lettered inscription.
