Description

This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located 12 yards north of the tower of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Puttenham. The tomb features an inscription that is now illegible. It is constructed from stone and stands on a moulded plinth. The sides are panelled, and it has a flat lid with a moulded edge. The corners are accentuated by recessed angle piers topped with moulded capitals. This tomb is included in the listing for its group value.
