Description
The wall between Manor House Court and the rear car park of No. 15, West Street, dates from 1680 to 1687, with alterations made around 1706 and later. It is constructed of stone and red brick in English garden wall bond, featuring lower courses made of large blocks of Clunch and Greensand, tiles, and apparently carved stone, which likely came from Nonsuch Palace during its demolition. The wall stands approximately 2 metres high and has a header brick coping. At both the left and right ends, entrances were cut into the wall around 1706 to provide access to a former bowling green, which have since been infilled with brick in Flemish bond.
